Well, the weekend came and went, and I feel like I got a lot accomplished. I have all of my tax information in an excel spreadsheet, just need to enter it into TurboTax and then wait for all the W2 and 1099 nonsense to roll in.
Besides taxes, I did a pretty good job at cleaning the entire apartment on Sunday. I also worked on a few web sites that I had been neglecting, and recorded a new Podcast for Monday.
Pretty good, Id say.

I want to have my taxes more or less done by the end of tonight. Then, when the real documents arrive (w2, investment income, etc) I just have to plug them in. While I enjoy running several side businesses, such as my acting/renaissance “job” – doing Schedule C’s every year is kind of a pain… especially finding deductions, keeping track of expenditures and payments, etc etc.
We received about 5-7 inches of snow last night, and when I went to the grocery store last night before the mess, I failed to pick up any liquid refreshments. My street and driveway are as of yet unplowed, so I took off into the white wasteland to the Kwik Shop on 24th and Grand to purchase my nutritional supplements – Mt. Dew.
And now… I begin my tax whittling by going through all of my GoDaddy.com receipts from the last year. I will update this post with the final total so we can all be appalled.
GoDaddy Total: $733.01

Update: 9:40AM
Going well, have gone through all CC receipts and regular receipts categorizing everything. The sad part is that every year I say I’m going to organize things better BEFOREHAND, but that never works.

Things I really need to do this weekend:
and probably more…

Well, it’s official… I started to work on taxes. I haven’t dived in deep yet, but I took one of my last pay-stubs and entered the totals into the W2 fields, anticipating what my W2 will actually say. Now I get to go back and do a Schedule C or two, and try to get all my deductions figured out as quickly as possible.
I’ll probably spend way too much time on the deductions, and end up only getting the standard one… again. But you never know.

And now, like a good Troy, I am going to go spend my 3 Best Buy gift cards on Turbo Tax.
Sad, but true.

Some of you with iTunes open may have downloaded show #51, unfortunately the entire beginning 20 minutes was missing.
So… for the second time this year I will have to redo a show. Woo hoo! Keep listening…
