Not sure why I had a run of bad dreams last night.
Couldn’t have had anything to do with catching up on my horror movies this week and watching “Saw” on Tuesday, “Se7en” on Wednesday and then “Saw 2″ last night.
Nah, couldn’t be that.

In what could only be the start of a completely messed-up day, I was up all night with heartburn after using some gift certificates I received for Xmas to Taco Time last night.
I really hate the feeling after you eat, where you know you will be up all night if you dont… expel what you just ate, but you really do not enjoy the feeling of bringing spicy mexican food back up.  So, I just propped my head up in bed last night and tried not to think of it. Don’t think I got much sleep.
I know, TMI, but if I am cranky today, now you know why.

Had two very odd dreams last night that I remembered as the radio woke me up.
The first had me back in Los Angeles visiting my old workplace at Warner Bros. Only, it never is the “real” building, but its an entirely glass building. The people there are in cubicles that are about 1/4th the size of what ours really were, making it look more like a telemarketing bunker. At first I was excited to be there and to be able to see all my old friends, but as I walked around I realized I didn’t recognize anybody.
A totally separate dream, and the one I woke up during, had me once again back at Warner Bros. in Los Angeles, but this time I was still employed there. Down in the parking lot was this gigantic pumpkin, one that had won the award for “largest pumpkin in the world.” It was not a very pretty pumpkin, and if you have ever seen any of the “largest pumpkins” you know what I am talking about. But it certainly was huge. So huge in fact that they had carved little tunnels through the pumpkin and decorated it with signs, trinkets, etc to make it almost like it should be in Chucky Cheese’s.
My job was to move the pumpkin thing to the WB lot. Easier said than done. They had a semi cab/truck for me, but no trailer that I could see, just forklift spikes on the front of the semi cab. I remember wondering if I would be able to even drive a semi cab – was it an automatic or stick shift (duh) and then I wondered how I would move it without it glooping and being destroyed over the course of several blocks to the movie lot.
2 dreams about L.A. in one night? Sheesh.

I first heard about Blingo from fellow podcaster Jersey Todd of The Jersey Todd Show. he was going on and on about getting a $150 gift card when one of his friends won on Blingo. Blingo? What the heck is Blingo?
Well, Blingo.com is a search engine that uses Google for the backend, but rewards its users by giving out prizes. Each user has a chance of winning anything from a free iTunes download to over $10,000. Plus, when that person wins, their “friend” who they signed up under also wins.
So I thought I would give it a shot. So far I have one friend in my array of friends, so my odds aren’t very good. But I have already started using Blingo for most of my Google searches, so I guess their plan is working, huh?
If you would like to sign up as one of my friends in Blingo, simply click on the button below, follow the instructions, and sign up. Who knows, maybe we’ll win something.

It amazes me sometimes how incredibly self-destructive we are. We as in “humans.” In a lifetime of things that we cannot control, we do things against our better judgment with things that we can control. Smoking, drugs, drinking, child abuse, even keeping your home clean, etc.
My personal one is saving money. Yes, I can take lunch to work every day and save money vs the $5-10 a day lunches at the office. But a restaurant meal tastes sooooooo good. Sure the other effects are equally beneficial: weight loss, increased metabolism, increased energy, etc. But it tastes soooooooo good.
Last night (and this morning) I had to clean my home one last time so the “appraiser” can come in. I thought I was DONE with this nonsense. Had I just managed to keep it clean, it would not have been a big deal. They say that disorganization itself is a contributor to stress.  I wonder how much just keeping a clean home could alleviate some of the day-to-day stress that makes some weeks completely intolerable.
And something has to give.

the spammers who graciously allowed me to spend the entire time between 6:30PM and 8:30PM deleting 4724 junk emails from my inbox. Without you, I would have had way too much free time the past few years.

ok, after I thoght I was “back on track” – life and stress hit me about a week ago, so I am back at 215 and hating it. Luckily, Colin has posted about The Diet again and everything will hopefully pick up.
I for one, am waiting until this weekend to officially restart my “diet” and get back on track. There are some complicating matters, none that are able to be expressed here. But let’s try and get this going again!
